hey dude... the owner is my friend, ive actually been encouraging him to get a more powerful base station para abot hangang session road ;) and hopefully up to my house which is less than a kilometer away... he he he. due to how their network is setup, wherein you just 'plug in' and youre logged in, its totally open. just sit on the bench outside with your pbook and you'll be surfing away.

    :D

just a note, you can now remove Cafea (GB3) from the wifi list. they are now closed.. :(

so the hotspots for wifi in gb3 is still the area between SBC and Cafe Breton. Both AA and Wiz. but if you want free sitting (no need to buy) the area near the fountain is still within the line of sight but 1-2 bars only.

    FYI.

If you guys are interested in the counting process, you can park your 'Books at the NAMFREL headquarters in La Salle Greenhills. Airborne is providing free access at the cafeteria. This will go on until the counting's over.

K lang! I know its a big decision, one that you won't readily regret! I might run into you in Katips sometime soon. Haven't had the pleasure of spending time at the SBC there!

Found out just today that the whole Jollibee Plaza Bldg. along Emerald Ave., in Ortigas is a Wi-Fi enabled/ zoned thru Linksys Network . My client told me about it this morning on our meeting. I remember, Linksys holds offices on the same building.

    signal at STARBUCKS

Tried the wifi here in greenhills theater mall at Starbuck. via Free Globe WIZ

The signal inside the coffee shop is 32, using macstumbler.

Okay but relatively slow in downloading.

Hey, guys and gals, for those posting future hotspots, maybe you include a bandwidth test?

Anyway, here's what I've found so far:

Allegro Cafe, Ortigas -- GlobeWiz, ~384Kbps
    Piadina, Greenbelt 1 -- Airborne Access, ~512Kbps
    TheatreMall, Greenhills -- GlobeWIZ, ~128Kbps

For the Ateneo area, there're two hotspots in the college quad -- the hotspot by Ateneo itself (Loyola Schools, really fast), and one by BlueZone (Airborne Access), which is ~128-256Kbps.
