I got to try the McRib earlier while waiting for my girlfriend at Glorietta. I still prefer the limited edition Beef Prosperity sandwich because of its spicy black pepper sauce.

I read on The Daily Beast some time back that McDo USA sent circulars to their branches advising employees not to eat their products for health purposes. Dunno how true it is though.

Mmm.....that's why I rarely eat chain food. I prefer artisanal/small business/slow food restaurants where you can eat real food and not food factory-produced crap. In our household, no canned goods anymore (except Purefoods corned beef). It has to be market-sourced.

Had it for lunch today. It's just a pork sandwich, nothing really special. It was more sweet than it was savory. Won't be back there for a while again.

I know I put the McRib down too, but after tasting the local variety this afternoon... in fairness to McDonald's, the local McRib tastes better than in the US.

There they put too much thick onion slices that are not so well-cooked, resulting in that onion-y, overpowering smell and taste. Here, I see that they put a lot less onion (probably due to budget) and the slivers of onion are cooked pretty well so all you get is more sweetness added to that already diabetic nightmare barbecue sauce.

Also, the twister fries are as always, delicious!
