I bought a diablo 2 battlechest from datablitz back in 2005 and the first disk was a PC only disk. It took a couple of weeks for them to replace the disk but they did. :)

Yup, it was released in 1998. Baka may nadistract lang kasi I said I was on the beta test in 2005. :)

P.S. Whoops, correct that. The beta test pala was in late 1997.

I remember in 1999, a bunch of us in the office were playing the demo version -- only one map -- on the then-new Bondi Blue iMacs on OS9! That was ages ago! I'll have to gather the same grunts back together for a reunion game....

There is a bundled game, having both starcraft and warcraft for mac. I really dont remember what version of starcraft was it, but its one of those best buys.

You can buy Starcraft Battlechest now, which includes Starcraft, Brood War, for both Windows and Mac, PLUS the Strategy guides for both guides, and it's only around the vicinity of P1000 lang.

    Great deal!

FINALLY! :D I've waited sooooo long for this, hahaha... StarCraft will always be in my list of all-time gaming greats. I'm hoping StarCraft 2 will be even better. I just downloaded and saw the gameplay videos and cinematic trailers. Wow... I can't wait for this game to be released! :p

I wonder if they'll be releasing a collector's edition set for this game. They released one for WarCraft III when it was launched (includes DVD of all movies, CD of the soundtrack, the game in a special edition jewel case, coffeetable book of all the artwork, detailed owner's manual plus game story signed by the developers, lithographs of the main characters, large tech tree poster.. all in a nice special box). I hope they do it again this time around. I'd definitely get one :p

That limited edition statue of Tychus Findlay standing atop a fallen Zerg Hydralisk really looks tempting, hahaha... But it's only available for online sale to US, Canada and some parts of Europe. Really tempting... but for $249.99?? hahaha... Maybe next time. It would be nice to put on my desk as a warning to would-be irritants :p

Anyway, this is great news, indeed. Thanks a lot for the heads-up! As Tychus Findlay puts it, "Hell, it's about time!"

Will this run without any problems on an Intel Mac? Is it a Universal app or will it run under Rosetta?

There's no universal patch for it yet. But yes it will run flawlessly on intel macs under rosetta. The genuine CD installers aren't OS X installers yet, I don't think they ever released those, but you can download the carbon installers / patches for OS X from Blizzard's website.

But it doesn't include the cinematic trailers in a CD or DVD where I can watch it on TV? *sad* I saw one on Blizzard's eShop for about US $10. Am thinking of getting that, unless the StarCraft Battlechest has it. :D
