Stephen King’s IT 8/10. Creepy as hell. This is definitely not that PG rated 90s telemovie that starred Tim Curry as Pennywise. More violent and more gore. Looking forward to Chapter 2.
IT. 9/10 for me as well. The spontaneous funny parts if the movie didn't downplay the horror aspect. Still provided a good scare. I'll definitely watch this again.
Blade Runner 2049 - 10/10 Even better than the first — or, to be more precise, all seven versions of the first. It’s a movie that figures to keep on giving. Worth watching again and again.
Blade Runner: Final Cut - 8.5/10 Watched it again last night. The visuals and technical aspects of the film hold up to current times.
Bladerunner 2049 - 9/10. Wow! A worthy sequel to the original cult classic. It’s a slow burn kinda similar to the original but it’s well worth it. Was expecting a remake but there’s no doubt it’s a sequel. I recommend watching final cut first before watching this.
Bladerunner 2049 = My Film of the Year. The visual and sound still lingers in my brain 5 days after watching it. I love those Tuvan Throat singing in the scoring. This is what started cyberpunk in the first place.
Mm...not exactly a cult-level fan of Blade Runner but I am close to it and regard it as one of the best films of all time. The successor, Blade Runner 2049, is a mixed bag for me. Expecting a continuity in terms of aesthetics was a top priority but sadly, this film is far different. Hazy all the way, much too hazy even for a dystopian future. For an overpopulated world, it felt empty of people. I just wasn’t drawn into it. Sadly, it is a dreary 7/10 for me. P.S. And Harrison Ford in 1982 is still way cooler than Ryan Gosling in 2017.
Blade Runner 2049 - a high 9/10 for me. I've always been a fan of the original, which at first seemed like a straight up hunting movie, but ended up with more depth that initially thought. 2049 has a lot of talking points in terms of subject, characters, motivations, etc. But I love how it was all presented -- like unwrapping a complicated present that's full of surprises. I don't mind if there's a sequel, although I'll be happy if they end it.
