Got this yesterday, too (after seeing your post). The cable that came with it can't be used to charge it.
actually, it can. just use a USB adaptor: my unit works just fine. it's not that fast, but it's good for overnight charging, bedside.
I am using this tiny Anker wireless charger. I included my Amazon Echo Dot in the picture for reference. It works amazingly any which way I place my phone.
I bought this at one of the Greenbelt 1 tech stalls for P1,200. Momax Q Pad Fast Wireless Charger (10W). I'm currently testing how fast it charges using my Apple 12W power adapter (I know that iPhone X can support 7.5W max as of this time).
I borrowed these yesterday from my suki Yoobao seller from TPC to test on my X with a small Scosche metal plate and UAG Plasma Citron: Yoobao W5 Wireless Powerbank Yoobao D1 Wireless Charging Pad Both working as advertised however I didn't measure how fast it was charging (if ever there was a variation as I've read elsewhere) and the Scosche metal plate really heats up quick and quite hot so given my current setup, I'll skip wireless charging for now as I'm a bit hesitant to have the metal plate always heat up every time I charge
I got the momax q pad and also the wireless power bank from Lazada. Surprisingly, the powerbank charge faster but heats up a faster too.
My Lazada order arrived this morning. It looks and feels legit, even the packaging. But after scrutinizing it a bit, there are some red flags w/c led me to conclude that this is fake. The reddest of them all is the serial number - I saw the same serial number multiple times on the web hahahah... It works though and looks the part. So I’m thinking if I will still bother to return this or just use it.
well, the thing i like about this no-name wireless charger that i got from lazada for P885 is that it doesn't seem to heat up at all--and it doubles as a very light, 10,000-mAh power bank
Hi, what is your setup in using the Momax wireless charger? I wanted to compare charging speed with mine. I used it for 2 hours and charging is from 26% to 82%. I used 12W Apple adapter and the USB cable that comes with the Momax box. The seller claims that charging is only around 45 mins (which I highly doubt).
I’ll heed this advice. Especially since I just got my pre-order freebies from SMART. Belkin 12W adapter and Wireless Charging Pad.
The cheap price alone is a major red flag. Its $80 in the US and 5.1k in manila. A 70k phone on a fake charger? Definitely not worth the risk... and no offense to lazada dami fake dyan i treat them like cdrking, if its not anything electrical ok lng pero other than that not worth the risk for expensive phones or kahit normal phone lang, baka maka sunog or damage pa
here's something useful i did today. i wanted to use a bedside cradle where i could see the phone at night while it was charging, so i thought about what that setup required, and got this cheap plastic cradle from the japan home center in the mall (maybe no more than P99?): while it could hold either the powerbank/wireless charger or the phone, it couldn't hold both because its "arms" were too short, so i extended those by supergluing an old credit card to the arms: so now i could put the charger on it, and the phone: i'll observe and let you know how well it works
I see. I've been charging for 4 hours and 20 minutes. it is now 96% from 0%. This time, I used the Apple 5W adapter that came from the iPhone box. I think it got interrupted for a bit (not sure because it got stuck at 86% for about 20 minutes and I saw I had a few missed calls when I checked on my phone). When I placed it back at the pad, it continued to charge.
