bad game from Lebron. when they were up 8 with around 3 minutes left, all lebron had to do was give the ball to AD.. instead he made a few turnovers & an airball allowing Denver to make a run and actually take the lead.. but yes, great buzzer beater from AD. one of the best in Lakers playoffs history.. too bad, this didnt happen in Staples. otherwise, that place would have gone nuts.. loud enough to destroy all the Clippers lockers that shouldnt be there. he he..
A lot of people are roasting Plumlee for blowing the coverage on AD, however, it was Jerami Grant who blew it, not hearing Plumlee's call for the switch to AD (that's why he was pointing at AD's position). Still and all, Jokic was just a split second too late to block AD's shot. Anybody else notice Rondo's reaction to the shot? He walked nonchalantly through the dejected Nuggets players, as if he wasn't even involved with the play (he was the one who made the game-winning assist/inbound). LOL...
I did. His face was like, "just as he should." Rondo really is a different animal in the playoffs. Even prior to the play, he said to AD, "He scored on you, now go do the same to him."
Just off the top of my head, joining... Derek Fisher (0.4 secs, "one lucky shot deserves another") Robert Horry (thanks for the tip, Vlade Divac, otherwise we could've lost that one to the Queens) Kobe ("Kobeeeee"), and more than once Artest (I can still see that tip-in in my mind's eye) Jerry West (would've been a 3-pointer to win that game and maybe the series, later, and that's the one I didn't see live, of course) I'm sure I've missed somebody.
according to espn, the lakers have the most buzzer beater winning shots in NBA playoff history with a total of 8; including Davis' shot. Jerry west did it 2x, & one each for Kobe, Metta, Horry, DFish.& Elgin Baylor. and among the players, lebron has the most with 5 so far. but none yet as a Laker.
BULLS NAME BILLY DONOVAN HEAD COACH "He is also one of only four active first-time head coaches in the league (along with Rick Carlisle, Kerr and Erik Spoelstra) to lead their teams to the playoffs in each of their first five seasons as a head coach." Here's hoping he can bring Chicago back to its winning ways.
IMO, he exceeded (this season's) expectations with the Thunder, and that team needs a restart. Better to move East
Miami is one win away from the NBA Finals on the back of an awesome performance from 20-year old rookie Tyler Herro! LeBron and the Lakers can have the championship, Miami gets to be top of the East!
The flop heard around the world. Who woulda thunk a guy that big would have a glass jaw? Or incredibly sensitive beard? And the academy award for best dramatic actor in a comedy goes to...
we have to see if... The Lakers can close this at Game 5 (and 6) Or the Nuggets can bounce back for the 3rd straight time from a 3-1 deficit
Boston bounces back to force a Game 6! Bad game by Miami amid a strong offensive effort and steady defense by the Celtics! Kainis!
As a Lakers fan, I'll say (for the first time ever), good job Celtics! And do it again in G6! Then the two teams can just kill each other in 3OT in G7.
I don't think Lebron is willing to jerk around and let game 5 get away. the older guys in the lakers with families left at home are probably dying to get out of the bubble... but with a championship in tow.. the faster they get to the finals, the better for them.. & honestly, I think Lebron is getting tired. I dont think he can afford a long drawn out series, unless it's the finals itself. I expect the lakers to go in desperation mode, to match the energy of the chicken nuggets.. Lakers in 5.
We have yet to see a really good PO game from Bron in 2020, no matter what the stats say. He looks a bit distracted and often tentative. I don't think he's enjoying playing in the bubble, for one. But they're so close now, so, dude's gotta wake up.
Lebron was a man on a mission today.... no messing around.. & proving once again... that.. the Lakers are not the Clippers.... ha ha..
