    apple today announced that it has released new 12 inch macbook models with the latest sixth-generation skylake dual-core intel core m processors up to 1.3 gHhz, new intel hd graphics 515 that deliver up to 25% faster performance, faster PCIe-based flash storage, an additional hour of battery life, and faster 1866 mhz memory.

    also they added a rose gold color:)

    here's hoping they add a 2nd usb-c port on its 3rd release... now that to me might just swing it for would-be macbook buyers still holding on to their MBPs. (including me! :) )

    ^i'll pass...seriously (even for the considerable speed bump, but...same, same there)

    rose gold may look gorgeous on the iphone (especially the SE) but on a macbook? hmm, that gold one was absolutely tacky to look at...

    Ships 1-3 business days in the online PH Apple Store, so I guess it will be with our resellers by next week. I wonder if there will be old stock sale at BTB.

    It actually looked good on the new ipad pro 9.7 bro when i saw it in person hehe... For awhile i considered it, but still went for the classic space gray :)

    For me, it's only Spacegray/Silver on any iDevice. I'd leave gold/rose gold to ladies...

    I got nervous when I saw the thread title and was already thinking of an excuse to the missus on why I'll be ditching my Mac for this new one. But since I hardly do anything resource-intensive on my Mac so this upgrade would be very easy for me to ignore. Whew...

    I checked the Apple Philippines website and it quotes May 10 deliver if one were to place an order directly through apple.

    The ladies will readily pick the new rose gold color. So are the men going to be brave/bold, etc enough to go for it ? :D

    i'm due for an upgrade... using a BTO MBA11 (i7,4GB, 256SSD) mid-2011 model...
    i use Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Office.... will the specs of the new Macbook suffice?
