Hello Philmug can somebody help me with my problem, i have this IP5s and suddenly it started to heat up and the battery easily drains even if it is in idle mode and airplane mode... i already endorsed it to PMC Alabang and they cant find any issues with my phone...

Btw, my phone is just 9 months old from from Smart Wireless

Any suggestions and similar incident with this?

    Thanks, Happy New year

Normally, if the phone heats up and battery drains easily... usually there's something wrong with the battery, usually. I would get a second opinion from another authorised service center.

I agree with @Jsnc. I would seek a second opinion from another AASP. I recommend QCD Tech in Robinsons Galleria. May be far from you but it's worth it. You can also call Apple and ask if this is a known issue and so that you can be given a case number (this way you are booked into the system).

Try restoring the device via DFU mode, then restore from backup.

yes @xetra_dax, Burn indeed! although QCD Tech as mentioned earlier has received just about an equal amount of praise from muggers alike, and if i'm not mistaken, (correct me if i'm wrong amigos) the latter is an authorized Apple repair center.

and since you're still in warranty, QCD Tech may just be the way to go.

Try QCD or Beyond the box :).

Tried QCD before same day ko din nakuha replacement unit.

For your issue it might be the battery and U2 i.c

Just an update guys, i called yesterday Apple CS and they are very accommodating. Within an hour they decided to replace the unit, and also they are the one who contacted the PMC Alabang for the documentation and mobilization ( *smile* ) .

So i will go to PMC Alabang this friday for the replacement....

FYI, i manage to ask the Apple CS and they told me that the replacement unit is a refurbished one
