Globe and NTC should check first the existing illegal connections using their old wimax modems, before the impose capping on paying subscribers. These illegal connections is one of the culprit congesting paying subscribers bandwidth regardless of torrents and whatnot.

Bottom line is, these telcos need to improve their networks and better their services, not take a step back. They claim to be the best, they gotta prove it. I don't see happy subscribers here, and being the best means making people happy.

True. Thats how they are, the best in postpaid. Maybe the best in the number of unhappy subscribers.

I did. Last night. And after that my speed dropped. My average usage is at 25GB a month.

Just got a notice that I've exceeded the 1GB limit and I will be able to enjoy full internet speeds after midnight while updating some apps on my MBP. This is just disappointing. Now I'm already planning on cutting my P999 unlimited internet plan.

Pictures are not appearing on FB app in my iPhone even I have a full LTE signal. When I checked the network via speedtest, it says there network error. It cannot even tell me the ping! ;(

This is just so disappointing. The only reason I switched from prepaid to postpaid was because it doesn't have a data cap. Now they're just the same. And the worst part is Globe is advertising their plans as "unlimited".

Apparently Globe extended their Free Facebook promo. Very timely.

If we subscribe to a plan with surf 50mb combo, are we still covered by the FUP?

Essentially, it is still unlimited. It's just after the data cap, you get 2G speeds.

It still sucks though. Was starting to use my data plan to watch videos. Now I have to stop it before the habit takes root.

I presume this is sarcastic, but suppose it isn't: PowerSurf is excluded from the FUP. From the FUP page:

[FONT=fs_elliot_proregular]Our Fair Use Policy applies to all surfing promos and data plans for Globe postpaid and Tattoo Lifestyle Sticks, except PowerSurf.
