need help on this, i tried to empty my recycle bin and everytime i get this message "There are some locked items in the Trash. Do you want to remove all the items, including the locked ones, or just the unlocked items?" i tried the button "delete all items" but my recycle bin is not emptied.

right-click on each file then click 'get info' then un-check the 'locked' option under 'general'...

    Do you have dual OS?
Had this problem before. Try this.
Boot to XP and scan the disk for error.
    Then check again your bin

I tried this, but it seems to be a tedious task since most of the files are folder with more sub folder on it.

Have you tried emptying all unlocked items first then "secure empty trash"?
