CGNAT scalability issues for converge. Too bad they could not scale up to the demand.

They started rolling out upgraded speeds a week ago. Our Plan 1599 is now rated for 45Mbps, but we're getting excess speeds.

Just got Converge FiberX installed yesterday but currently experiencing some trouble with the WiFi connection.

For some reason, my devices (e.g. MBP, several iPhones) keep getting disconnected from the router, reconnect again, then disconnect again, reconnect again...

Say, with the MBP, you will see the WiFi icon on menu bar flash multiple times since it keeps reconnecting.

On iPhones, after some time, the phone is back to LTE. When I check the WiFi settings, it got disconnected again and the Converge network is just listed under "My Networks". Then, after a few seconds, it would reconnect again. Then later, it would disconnect again.

Anyone experienced the same issue? Any router setting I can change?

    Router is a HUAWEI EG8145V5.

Why not try connecting it to a different router (if you have one available) and turning off the WiFi on the huawei?

Yeap, this is my current workaround at the moment. I was hoping to retire my (very old) Time Capsule though.

I also find it unlikely that there's a problem with the HUAWEI router itself since it's new, so was wondering maybe there's a setting somewhere that's causing the issue.

i signed up and got approved for converge's time of day "upgrade" last March 11, daytime option. my internet speeds haven't doubled up. daytime internet speeds are practically the same as the night time internet speeds.

Mm...from experience, Converge usually takes time before any changes are made. I ve had 2 speed upgrades (from 150 to 175 to 200) and it took awhile. Also, in the case of the jump from 150 to 175, I requested a change of fiber modem to dual band. It seems to do the trick as I am enjoying more than 100% of plan speed 24/7.

Guys, Converge is now offering Vision which is their cable service streamed on their fiber network. You will need their android-based Xperience Box if you avail of their service.
    Here's their channel lineup:

As a shareholder I'm glad they're offering this. As a sub I wouldn't add this since I havent watched terrestrial or cable TV since 2001.

Converge will be having another round of speed increase next week.

    Plan 1500 - 50Mbps
    Plan 1599 - 60Mbps
    Plan 2500 - 300Mbps
    Plan 3500 - 800Mbps

    Plan 2000 - 100/200Mbps (double speeds during day/night)
    Plan 3000 - 300/600Mbps (double speeds during day/night)

Their new speeds are really tempting but we just moved to Globe fiber a few months ago.

How is your experience with Globe fiber? Any issues especially with online gaming? Thanks

Not a gamer eh but my cousin who plays mobile MMORPG says it’s better than Converge.

Mm…globe, sky and smart will have to step it up to remain competitive with converge. The new converge plans are a huge upgrade. Competition is a good thing. The sweet spot for a family of 4 heavy users is plan 100 Mbps (P2,899 globe P2,899 sky P2,999 pldt P2,499 Converge ).

With the new converge free upgrade to 300 Mbps without converge adjusting the price, where does that leave the rest of the field? In the rear view mirror?

Yes but only for Fiber plans P2500 and above. A monthly fee of P700 will also be added on top of your MSF.

Mm…instead of retaining plan 3500 with 200 Mbps with free upgrade to 800 Mbps, I went the opposite: downgraded to plan 2500 but with free upgrade to 300 Mbps. I applied mid November and it literally took dozens of calls and emails before Converge processed the request. Grabe. Really annoying. Used their clicktocall on Android for VOIP. But, finally tonight:

How do you get the full 300mbs on wifi? My speed using a wired access point is still 90 mbps, although I use a gigabit hub already. I only get full speed in our main router.
