Mad Mark's in Kapitolyo. Wanted mashed potatoes, but they ran out. Got Garden Grains (thinking it was some type of salad - rice pala) with corn. P360? Pretty okay. Filling, definitely.
For all Steaktown Boston Charcoal Grill regulars out there, it has been reincarnated, sort of, in the form of Steakhouse restuarant at the ground floor of Manila Crown Palace Hotel in Adriatico street, Malate. The Ali steak is the exact replica of the tenderloin steak of steaktown that I loved! They also have a salad bar, soup and garlic breads which taste exactly the same except for a few changes in the salad bar selections. I'm not connected with both restaurants. I just really love it (loved it for steaktown-tagaytay branch closed down already). Our whole family frequented the place in the 90s and 2000s until they all closed down one by one. PS. According to Steakhouse, they are not connected whatsoever with the Steaktown restuarant which is weird because every thing taste exactly alike
I'm now in Elbert's Steak Room and I'm having their Double Gold tenderloin, which is a limited offering. And it's fantastic! The cow did not die in vain, as I would usually say. It's awesome because unlike most tenderloins, it actually has good marbling. You don't need any sauce because it's really flavorful. And you can cut the damn thing with a spoon.
the name itself connotes a taste that is most likely indescribable. i have not been to Sir Elbert's steak room, maybe soon, when finances permit me to splurge on really good food; its on top of my list of "must try"
