Apple to discontinue Xserve after Jan. 31, 2011

    Is Apple predicting the demise of blade type servers? Or is the server market simply another 'hobby' segment for Apple, as the AppleTV was (and still probably is)?

    Take note that a new server configuration of the Mac Pro is added as a replacement to the Xserve.

    Its looks like very little mac users are affected by this news. I am judging this based on the number of page views and responses that this thread is getting.
