I'm on the fence regarding this one for my Apple Watch (Stainless Steel):

    - On one hand, none of of my other watches are covered up. And I like how it looks as it is.

    - On the other, all of my portable devices sport a screen protector, or case/cover, or both.

What do you guys think? Let us know what you have done with yours, and maybe, why.

(P.S. Right now mine is au naturel.)

Mine is 42mm stainless steel w/ milanese loop. I bought a clear silicone case when I bought it then took it off after a month. Haven't used that case or any other case since then. Just bought a separate saddle brown classic buckle band as an extra after a month.

Wear it naked. It's a watch. Not a phone. Lels.

I also prefer it nude but while walking beside the wall which i often do i realize it needed some protection so i bought a plastic casing and planning to buy fiber glass screen protector. Metallic cases can weaken the signal reception of the device

I have an SGP case for it, and will be installing a screen protector for it once my shipment from Amazon arrives.

I do the same for my phone, and I bump my watches more often than with my phone so it works for me.

I don't have an Apple watch but if I had the stainless, I'd keep it bare - it's already sapphire glass and you could polish out the scratches in the steel part.

On the other hand, the sports version has the softer aluminum which once scratched cannot be polished back to its original state. And the ion strengthened glass is also prone to scratches. So I would put a screen protector on it but with no cover.

It's a watch. I can't imagine rolex owners will place a screen protector on their watch. Just wear yours with TLC.

For me the screen protector is for better resale and faster disposal of the watch once another version comes out :)

I have the gold sport and it's almost always naked. I only ever use a black rubber bumper thing when I use my brown leather loop and I want to go for the black-brown rugged, like my old Nixon watch that I never wear anymore.

    Covered.

I thought it would drastically change how it looks. Not bad at all.

Does anyone here installed a tempered glass on their watch? Care to share a pic?

Quite interested on having a tempered glass installed on my AW.

I like the look and feel of my stainless steel Apple Watch. i don't wear my Apple Watch daily, I only use it when I'm exercising. I don't do hard core activities e.g. Extreme mountain biking to warrant adding any extra protection.
As it is sometimes I have to tap on the screen a few times while I'm out hiking so I wouldn't want an extra layer on the screen that could possibly affect responsiveness.

    Interesting poll results, thus far.

I had the impression, apparently mistakenly, that more PhilMUGgers with Apple Watches would go for protection than leaving the watch bare. . . .
