Ive downloaded the new version of yahoo voice...asked my relatives abroad also MAC users to download it so we wont be SKYPE dependent. But as we tried it out-we were not able to hear one another OR not connecting properly?...What follows after the attempt to use the YM voice call function is: a voice mail alert EMAIL from yahoo will be sent to me with an attachment of her voice in mp3 format...What causes this? Anybody out there having this same problem? Added info : we have different OS's. I have leopard and she uses tiger. Does this count as one of the reasons why YM voice doesnt work with us? Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.
as the website of yahoo says, its still in the beta version so you will expect bugs, problems to appear. Try to contact yahoo for such problems, they give fast service.
@ no read no write I understand that YM is still at BETA stage and in trial mode...just cant wonder why "others are working" and mine's not. oh well-- unfortunately i have to wait further... And yeah. Ive reported to the customer care of yahoo... and got this as their reply: Hello, Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care. I see, i do have the latest ym installed as well, do have some bugs, but not the voice (have not tried voice yet) perhaps you can try to uninstall it completely ( user-> library -> preference ) remove com.yahoo.messenger3.plist and similar things there related to ym and re install... its the only solution that i know
i had problems only within the first dew seconds, after which i quit the YM and opened it again and glad its workings fine now. Hope you get your YM working na.
