YM keeps on randomly quitting!

    i have YM Version 3.0 beta 1 (build 18274)

    and it randomly quits... it turns back on most of the time but sometimes i have to launch the program again...

    i am on 10.4.8

    any help would be appreciated...

    my internet connection isnt a problem since i have skype running too... and it doesnt quit.

    unfortunately, that's one common glitch of YM beta (read BETA :) ). you may want to try proteus.

    yes... beta:) but the quitting seems to be more often than other units... this is what's reall bothering me... :)

    dont worry about it....mine quits and restarts too....so does the YM of 3 of my friends...at first i thought it was my dsl connection....(hmmmm then again it COULD be my dsl connection --> PLDT kasi eh hehehhe)

    Sana Yahoo can update their Mac version of YM to the same level as the Windows counterpart. Message archiving, Better Web cam support (i haven't tried to use the Isight webcam yet, pero I've head reports that audio doesn't work) etc....

    mine doesn't quit that much, but it does, occasionally..

    wish it could have photo sharing and message archiving soon..

    Try Adium.

    I use YahooMessenger ONLY for sending/receiving files and video chatting w/ other YM users.

    Maybe the discrepancy is between the Intel and PPC Macs. My YM works fine with my iBook G4, although it lags really bad sometimes.

    Update your OS to 10.4.8. Works perfectly since I last updated. Had similar problem earlier. Resolved. Alternatively. go with SKYPE!! works perfectly! full screen video and voice!

    lucky you!, but the OS 10.4.8 update did not fix this issue for me, nor for others i know.
    yes, skype 2.0 is great :)

    guusto ko magsype kaso nga lang.. lahat ng friends ko nasa YM eh.. so no point din hehehehe

    good thing im runing 10.4.8 n the latest YM ... walang prob... everything works

    ang hasel eh ung mga contacts kong PC hehehehehe

    send ng send ng virus links at nagsshutdown din...


    well oki lang kahit ym magloko sakin at mag shutdown ng magshutdown....










    wag lang macbook ko... =(
