I don't know if this is because I'm behind a router or because I use a Mac but whenever I try to send a file, it automatically gets uploaded to Yahoo's server and the recipient gets a url for the file and a message saying that I sent a file to them.

Actually, I don't know why I get that. I tried looking at YM's preferences for an option like that but I can't find any.

On the other hand, whenever I try to receive a file, I always get a failure.

I tried to enable port forwarding on my linksys router and it worked! :D I can now receive files but sending is still the same. through ym servers.. no direct sends.. drawback is that i can only send files that's smaller than 1mb.

Had trouble receiving files through YM... but sending files whether photos or documents without any problem...

Duda ko baka sa firewall ng net provider ni utol or sa settings nila... nakikisaksak lang kasi ako sa router nila eh ;)

if you are receiving or sending a file via YM:

    1. MAC to MAC = OK
    2. MAC to PC and vice versa = NOT OK (no idea why)
