    does anyone know the reason why yahoo messenger has no updates for mac?

    if yahoo messenger is available on mac app stores then it is not beta version anymore

    yeah, it's been on beta for the longest time.
    from what I know there's not much investment in the mac division.

    so... go adium!

    Nostalgic app. Before the advent of facebook messenger, I used to always use this for communication for work and personal use. Another one bites the dust.

    I recall the author of Adium making 1 version of Yahoo Messenger for macOS.

    I just hope they don't abandon Yahoo mail yet, as my US Apple ID and my other email login subscriptions are with Yahoo. :(
