yahoo messenger problem

ive experienced the same. my webcam is working well, sa ym ko lang talaga may problema. i gave up and started using skype. oh well, try to uninstall and reinstall it all over again.

I think its because its still a beta. Have the same problem.

 

i'm not using my webcam but my YM just quits....around 4 times na since this morning.

 

i have experienced that before and this is what i did:

open preferences for YM
choose connection, then if your IP has set a firewall for you, choose the behind the firewall mode;

if not choose the default setting.

i think this is due to the video server of ym.. if your into video calls, i suggest that you just use skype, anyway, its still free and the video quality is better on skype..

 

i only have a small problem before when i use the smile icons they work now its only the blue box with ? in it..any tips?

 

check you internet connection sir, but sometimes YM do that, webcam getting disconnected. Also check you preference sir and the firewall setting

 

thanks for this. my problem was different, YM intermittently got disconnected. It was so annoying so i opted to use meebo or ebuddy for chatting.

after reading this thread, i checked my preferences for YM and change the settings to default. my YM is now working fine.

i got different problem with YM.. Usually i have an error on sending files or receiving files.. and another funny problem, when i chat with a certain friend, his YM tends to go berserk, non stop online-offline,,

 

I have this problem with YM since Day 1. Whether old or new version. Sometimes it really irritates me.
After installing iLife'09, Yahoo became more sluggish. Doesnt respond to clicks. I have to quit all other apps for it to work again.

 

I'm also having this problem. sometimes I cant login to ym and sometimes when I signout to ym it just hang so i need to force quit...

 

Tried to search for other YM problem threads. Will just post here, different YM problem.

When I log in, the window gets stuck in the logging in screen, the one with the spinning icon. I'd be able to see people logging in and out (the notification on the upper right part of screen) and I'd receive messages but I wouldn't see my friends list.

 

ooohhh I posted the same problem, i was worrying maybe it was my isight, then again maybe jes the yahoo messenger acting up. oh well
