    Hi Guys,

I've been using Mail.app for couple of months now. My 2 email accounts (yahoo dot ph & gmail) were set-up with Apples' Mail application on my MBP. All is going fine. Been receiving emails from my 2 accounts through Mail consistently. BUT all of a sudden my yahoo.com.ph account stop sending through my emails. Any of you guys experienced this? It started a week ago. I tried setting-up the account again but failed.

Are yahoo accounts with ".ph" not capable of POP3 access anymore?

It's beginning to be a pain since I'm already used to just checking Mail.app on my mac. Now, if i cant find any answer to this, I'm force to open my yahoo separately.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

    Cheers!

@silica03: When you logged in to your Yahoo Philippines account, did you check to see if POP access was still enabled and the pop servers match that of your Mail.app settings?

@raypin: I don't think silica03 is using Mail Plus. Yahoo Philippines is (or was) offering free POP access; Based on other related Yahoo Mail threads, it seems that regional Yahoo services (like Philippines and UK) offer free POP unlike the main Yahoo site where POP is part of Mail Plus.

Mine still works... And no, Yahoo Mail PH has free POP3 access. It's not the same as Yahoo Mail Plus (US). Can you take a screenshot of your settings?

Good to know that POP3 for Yahoo Mail PH still works, enshong. This only means that I could still fix this.

When I tried configuring it again on Mail I always get an error message that says "make sure username and password are correct." I could not have type the wrong username and password several times. Don't really now what's the reason behind the error message.

I also tried forwarding my emails from Yahoo Mail PH to Gmail but the same error message appears when I'm doing it. A link in gmail about the error message says that it could be because the other email account (Yahoo PH) isn't POP3 supported.

Anyway, below are the settings Im using for Yahoo PH. I got this from yahoo.

    Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
    Use SSL, port: 995

    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication

    Problem solved!

Dunno what happened. I tried configuring it again with the same steps and settings as yesterday's morning. It came through the first time i tried it today. I guess the only difference was that I'm not so pissed compared yesterday.

Anyway, thanks guys for the help and for bothering to read my post.
