Can’t be sure really about delivery of non-essentials until the lockdown is over but I guess this would be the impetus for shipping companies to up their services now that most people will be depending on them. And hey, drone delivery should be the next option because 1) it’s social distancing, and 2) it’s anti-traffic.

Drone Delivery? cool... but the Informal Settlers may snatched it via airgun or slingshot

will miss this when I go back to the office June 15. At least I get to use it every other week.

Our CEO is very positive on the four-day work week talk here in Canada. I hope that materializes as I won't mind doing 8 to 5 if that means for only four days.

got a few inquiries about the chair I posted above. It’s the classic / old Aeron from Herman Miller. There’s a newer Aeron Remastered (2016). While there’s a number of ‘improvements’, I still prefer the classic’s aluminum build (more plastic now), padding on seat edge (now removed) & unlimited tilt lock (now limited to 3).

here’s another Herman Miller office chair, Sayl, wife’s WFH buddy:

both chairs are dwarfed by our sons’ AKG gaming chairs :ROFLMAO:

I’m not connected with HM & AKG by the way.

AKG chairs are only good for one thing: napping. Heck I had my best naps on it in the office then and now my son uses it for gaming and, sure enough, napping in between. Can’t do that on an Aeron. ;)Besides, that would be sacrilegious.

Sayl is my favorite. I have one at home and at work. On more than one occasion, I've thought of bringing one of them to long meetings in hotel function rooms.

I've been looking for Herman Miller locally! Where were you able to get yours?

Also, is anyone familiar with this store? https://www.stancephilippines.com/product-page/stance-executive-electric-desk
I've been looking into getting a standing desk and these guys are the most legit I've seen locally -- at least in terms of their online presence.

Still on the subject of chairs, I used to be a cheapskate on work chairs. My friend told me that a good work chair is not an expense, it’s an investment in my well-being, body and mind.

I laughed him off at first but eventually saw what he was saying. He has Aerons everywhere, but somehow I get dizzy on an Aeron. But Herman Millers are really good. I’m not connected with them, btw.

How about Herman Miller lookalikes? I see some on Facebook and on various local interior design sites. But the original is an investment though, but only if you intend to display it for what it’s worth. Might as well get homages because they offer the same seat despite not being the original.

6 months since first 'lockdown', anyone else still working from home? wife & I still are. our companies gave option to WFH (but offices are still open for those who want to come). I guess WFH is not for everyone as I have colleagues who opt to be in the office. not to be insensitive but wife & I are loving it; no traffic to deal with, no more early waking hours, she doesn't have to be away weekdays, we get to be with our kids, etc.. Only downside is, our Meralco bill has more than doubled past 6 months. Of course there's the occasional barking of neighbor's dogs during calls :)

We’re still on work from home. I can already see who prefers to go into the office, but we prefer to play it safe
