just got these from Egghead for the kids: Tevi’s sang well compared to Sony’s WF 1000XM3. Bass not as punchy, but didn’t feel lacking. Tevi’s have much longer battery life, has volume control, aptX & IPX rating. All of which the XM3 doesn’t have. Throw in the fact that they’re half the price of the XM3 & they’re on stock ... having said that, I also placed DP for Sony WF 1000XM3, currently out of stock (new stocks in October)
I finally opened my Jabra 65t and started using it. Not bad at all! i bought it on black friday 2018, life...
^ Good one! I'm getting mine in the next week or so care of my company. In the meantime, the Master & Dynamic MW07 is on sale for $100 off on Amazon in case anyone's interested. https://www.amazon.ca/Master-Dynamic-Wireless-Earbuds-Bluetooth/dp/B07H8S4N36?th=1
The Powerbeats Pro are getting kind of numbing on the ears after a long use. Maybe because my glasses push it down a bit. Or having it encircle the ear can be taxing. I have instead asked my son to return the Elite 65ts in exchange for the Powerbeats. These are what I need for my daily walks. But he’s a happy camper now with the PP.
Have you tried adjusting the ear hooks? They can be adjusted up or down and inwards or out to relieve pressure points.
^Yes. Same result after a few hours use, or less. It really isn't intended for one with eyeglasses, I presume.
Amazon just entered the ring with Echo Buds. Interesting prospect on where wearables are going. Official Ad
Egghead re-stock. Finally after 1.5months: test your devices folks. first unit i got was defective (static on left earbud). good thing i tried making / receiving calls, not noticeable when playing music. they immediately replaced it but could have been a different story had i already left.
Oh. I thought the problem arose at a time far from the date of purchase. Good thing they had stocks to replace your defective unit.
Hey team! It seems odd, pretty much all the usual suspects have been mentioned here yet there isn't a single mention on these: https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/en/products/melomania-1 Also, the MW07 PLUS recently launched in case anyone's curious. https://www.masterdynamic.com/products/mw07-plus-true-wireless-earphones Just thought I'd mention the Melomania 1 boasts 9 hours while the MW07 PLUS takes the original's 3.5 to 10 hours of battery life on this latest release. The AirPods Pro on the other hand is advertising up to 5 hours with ANC and Transparency off.
^Five hours is too short if you ask me when most wireless earphones boast from 8-12 hours tops. The one thing that AirPods fail miserably is time usage. Other than that, it’s a winner. For now, Jabra Elites and MW07s are top notch in both sound and battery life. Sony’s are still top tier and so are the Senheisser’s.
Yeah! The upcoming Jabra Elite 75t will surely be a contender as well as Sennheiser's MTW v2 which, though v1 sounds fantastic, are just brought down by its meager 4 hour battery life.
Thanks for mentioning the MW07 plus, I had no idea that there is already an updated model. Will order one soon. The 10 hour battery life with ANC is noteworthy. Love the classy design of the case, looks divine. Hopefully the sound is good.
Master & Dynamic's really going for it with having released both the MW07 Plus ($299) and the MW07 Go ($199) at around the same time to give everyone options... and colors! They're small (with the Go even smaller) in comparison with the Sony WF-1000XM3 ($230) which is what kinda stopped me short of acquiring them. The Jabra Elite 75t ($200), which are 20% smaller than their predecessors are just about ready to launch within the next two weeks. Bose's Earbuds 500 and Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700 won't be launching till the 1st Q of 2020 (too far a wait I think to capitalize on people's patience). There isn't any news on Sennheiser's MTW v2 so there's that. The AirPods Pro are great, no doubt. A better fit, shorter stem, noise cancelling, wireless charging... but to be asking $250 for 5 hours of battery life (at most with ANC off), Apple should've at least provided say 7-8 hours on a single charge to take the sting out of that MSRP, really earn that "Pro" monicker and check all the boxes. But no, in spite of having already seen what the competition's dished out, they decided to stay at 5 hours --- same if I recall with the 1st gen AirPods. I'd probably go for it if instead of wireless charging, they went with a longer battery life. Meanwhile, my wife's still letting me hear it for purchasing what essentially are "unknowns" ... the Melomania 1 ($129). My justification was that they're small, offer decent sound, insane battery life and I kinda gravitate towards their form factor. The good reviews and lower price compared to most don't hurt either. If there's one knock against these, they're not that great at picking up one's voice for calls. But since my use case entails simply using them for podcasts, online courses and Spotify, I'd say they're good enough for my needs. Also, as I'm pairing it with my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones for when I don't feel like wearing them on warmer days, the Melomania 1 I reckon is a good enough alternative. This should tide me over for when the AirPods Pro 2 (with hopefully better battery life), the Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700, Sennheiser MTW v2 and a hopefully discounted MW07 Plus come knocking sometime towards the tail end of 2020. And for cheapskates, these are gaining good reviews as of late. Might be worth a look: https://www.amazon.com/EarFun-Bluetooth-Waterproof-Earphones-Headphones/dp/B07R5MKX3K
