    Hi guys,

My macbook (early 2008) has a swollen battery.
Cycle count is already at 453.
My apple care just ended last April, 2011.

Would anyone know if any of the premium resellers here in the Philippines would replace my battery for free?

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the replies!

I'm still hopeful that they can replace my swollen battery. I've read in some threads that I might get lucky by calling Apple Singapore for replacement.

Would anyone know if I can call them through Skype? if not, would I be charged using Globe landline?

Digital hub vmall replaced the battery of my 2006 macbook when it bloated, but it was still under warranty then. But the replacement battery is starting to bloat again & im having a hard time clicking on the trackpad because of this. I wonder if apple will replace it again even if I have no more warranty.

There is a toll free number for sg. Had my family's MB replaced before (upgraded from black to unibody).
Anyway, regarding the swollen battery, anyone here has been able to replace it if its under warranty? Thanks!

I totally wasted my Apple care. :(

Learning: Be mindful of the expiration date of the APP.

Isn't there anyone who was able to have the battery replaced for free after APP expired?

Had this experience before and PMC (and apple sg) refused to replace my battery because "its bound to happen". But try your luck, maybe theyll consider replacing yours since the macbook is phased out already.

Im assuming yours is the white one.

Lucky for those who got their batteries replaced. I had the same experience as jushjush. PMC wouldn't replace even though it still had warranty :(

If your unit still has applecare, apple would definitely replace your battery. Had my girlfriend's black macbook battery replaced twice already at digital hub, thanks to it's apple care. You could also try to call apple sg and appeal for a battery replacement.. Sometimes they're nice to customers and will replace your battery for free, even without applecare. :)
