While you're at Tacloban try passing by Calle Zaragosa they're known for their mean bulalo. Great to eat after a few beers. :)

    VP Butch,

We'll be deploying an 802.11g access point in the BOR Room tomorrow. Hope you can make use of it during meetings there. :)

Jumbo, the School of Econ and CBA expressed their interest in setting up a hotspot but we're waiting for them to purchase the access points. So far, no news about it from them. Maybe you can ask them to buy it quickly so we can deploy it.

You just need around 8-9K for the access point and just make sure that there is an ethernet port near the location of your access point and that there is a free switch port in the premises.

And oh, you need your webmail account to be able to use the UP hotspots.

Got.HUB in SM Baguio in Session Road is an unsecure wifi hotspot -- which means its free :D

I was about to ask them how much they charged for internet access until i got a connection and was able to surf free of charge. hehe.

of course, i didnt tell them.

Villman sells the Linksys Wireless B router for only P5,500 and the Wireless G router for P7,000.

In the U.S., you can find great deals, like a Wireless Access Point + PCI card combo for $50 only.

    It's getting really cheap now.
