Bro patry naman if naka airplane mode may WIFI Calling parin? Kasi calls should go through kahit naka airplane mo basta enabled WIFI Calling para matest din if working talaga.
I tried to test Wifi calling by switching to Airplane mode but I get an error message that I need to switch off Airplane mode.
Airplane mode switches off the phone functionality IMHO.
WiFi Calling should work even on Airplane Mode.
you tried it?
No, but that is how it works. If it does not for you, then your account is not provisioned for WiFi Calling on Smart’s end.
Tried it just now. Set my phone on Airplane mode with WiFi still on, and tried to make a call.
Got this error message: “No Network Connection”. Like @neilrg said, I might have to call Smart and have them provision my line for WiFi calling.
Hmmm - I think it works if you are not on Airplane Mode, which ensures that the full phone functionality is working, but has a weak to no cell signal coverage but with wifi. Airplane mode turns off the phone/cell data transceivers AFAIK.
I tried this and it did not work, but with Airplane Mode OFF, weak to no signal and WiFi, it works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Smart WiFi Calling is not yet functional.
Did the error look like this?
That's not how WIFI Calling works. You should still be able to make calls even if on Airplane mode as long as it's connected to WIFI and as long as your SIM is inserted (even if it has no cellular radio).
Yes, probably it's still not fully working on Smart.
