Ah! So it's really priced at that range pala locally. Then I'll be calling Urban Gadgets in a while, and if they're out of stock I'm probably getting from the OLX seller. Thanks for the info!

Bought a set of used Feiyutech G4S handheld gimbal for the GoPro for 12k including extension poles and spare extended batteries. Took it Hong Kong with me on rides. Works quite well. They are not cheap when purchased at the mall.

^^ Interesting... it boils down to whether the post-processing flow of the SteadXP is intuitive enough.

Nice concept with it being small and all. I do own a gimbal and one of the reasons I don't use it too often is because it's too cumbersome to lug it around everywhere I go

But based on the article, there's still a trade-off for its low cost and small form factor isn't it? The user would have to fiddle with some settings and you'll have to do the stabilization post-filming which might not be feasible for users who don't have the time nor the expertise to do both

For those considering the Zhiyun, why not wait for the DJI Osmo Mobile 2? It's at the same price point too right?

Yup... although like all EIS, video size will be reduced.

I hate to say it but wait for osmo mobile 2. I own a Zhiyun smooth q and the companion app for android doesn't support 4k and high frame rate options. I think the max resolution for timelapse (moving or not) is only 720p. I don't know if DJI companion app is better but the osmo mobile 2 looks promising. Same price and same battery life. It won't hurt holding off until it's in the market.
I've no regrets buying the Zhiyun smooth q, it's an excellent gimbal plus battery life and charging time is a marvel.
SteadXp got a good concept. I think it's a big step to the right direction for DSLRs. I hope other companies will catch on.

Problem with DJI Osmo 2 is the supply and they also prioritizing bulk orders so you won’t find a unit, not even a display from the distibutor’s store in Makati.

There’s 2 k difference in the price. Zhiyun Smooth Q is 6k while DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is 8k.
