I am looking for a dual sim phone.

Reading some philmug threads, these are the ones I found.

    My|Phone
    Samsung D880
    TCL A2888
    Verzio Duplii

I'm having a hard time which one to choose.

Do you have other unit in mind aside from that list?

    Which one is good as:

A primary phone? (For my friend)
A secondary phone? (For myself, to partner with my iphone)

For the primary phone, I want one that has good battery life. Plus decent features.
The secondary phone doesn't have to be "technologically" loaded.

MyPhone maybe the best choice. Bang for the buck for P4.8K, I was told that if the unit breaks down, service shall be done be Sony-Ericsson.

Been using my Samsung D880 for more than a year now. Doesnt heat up after extensive use too. I tried MyPhone and it heats up after a while.

How's the battery life of this phone? heavy usage, 1 day only? normal usage, 2 days?

And the UI? Easy and pleasant to use? I heard My|Phone UI is not that intuitive and it sucks.

How's the battery life? How long does it last in normal and heavy usage?

Battery life could last more than 2 days for me, thats for typical calls and sms, it doesn't drain too much since its not using wifi nor blue tooth like what we usually have. The UI is intuitive, and way much better than MyPhone. But the best part of this is the screen and the body, its screen is SQVGA and crystal clear bright, the body is a full metal finish front and back, this looks like the smaller version of a Nokia E71. It would be better if you will try it personally, for me its the best as compared to very cheap China phones and the very pricey branded ones when it comes to dual sim... :p

Thanks, [email protected] Looks like I will head to the nearest store and try this one personally.

I guess this will fit the needs of my friend (who is not really techie and only wants to be able to make a call and text).

    Another question:

Does this sync with mac? Can I transfer my iPhone contacts to it that easily? Or you have to do it manually?

    Thanks again.

Oh on sync issue no, it doesn't support Mac it doesn't even come with an application software to manage / access it using a PC or a Mac, you just have to transfer your contacts manually, what i did is to transfer the contacts via SIM card from my original unit and then use that SIM to the phone to copy the contacts to its memory, good luck! :p

Battery life for me last at least 3 days. But on heavy use days, sometimes 1.5 days.

Does the earpiece of the Cherry Mobile M35 heat up during long calls?

Someone told me not to buy China phones kasi that's one of the problems. That Q7 looks really good, though
