With rumors and leaks getting more credible and frequent, it is said that we'll be getting three models of the iPhones this year! Here comes the successor of the iPhone X!

Which model are you getting? or, are you skipping this year? I'm still hanging to my iPhone 7, but I'll upgrade this year for sure. :)

Will probably skip this year. Got the iPhone X at the launch. It's okay. I kinda miss the size of the 6 Plus, so the new one with a bigger screen is tempting. Honestly, I miss the home button, Face ID works 8 out 10 times, and the 2 times I need it quick are during the important times, LOL. I get one every 2 years, so maybe in 2019, will try something out. Looking forward to the reviews!

The 6.5 inch OLED phone. Sold my good kidney for it.

6.5 OLED. Can’t imagine myself going back to LCD.

Mm...bigger, more eye-friendly 2018/2019 iPhone X. 6.1" is what I am eyeing. Second choice is the 6.5" model. My iPhone X will be traded in, most likely in Greenhills (just like my iPhone 7 Plus for the X). No use waiting. Reason: depreciation/trade-in value sucks the longer I wait and my aging eyes are demanding it. Hoping that both will be dual sim.

6.5 - If the price is right.
6.1 - If I can live with the features and if Blue color will be offered.
Will not go with 5.8 as I am currently using the X.

I’m probably skipping it unless it is priced really good here which is highly unlikely. But if I’ll get one I’ll get the biggest screen possible. I miss having the big screen of my previous favorite phone, the note series.

Curious thought though. If the 6.1 inch does exist, will the secondhand market value of the current iPhone X drop bigtime?

If they differentiate enough, it won't be the case. Features that are non-essential but nice to have such as 3D touch, OLED, second cam, stainless steel frame, stereo speakers etc. Some are more likely dropped than others all in the name of keeping the price low.

current iPhone X will be compared to 2019 iPhone X, and thus, second hand pricing will be based on such.

Remember, you can only get the "old" size and feel with the current iPhone X (5.8"), which is around the same as the 4.7" iPhone 8. New offerings are now bigger than what most iPhone users are used to. They're splitting the market of 4.7" users, some just needs a nudge to get a bigger display while some are hell bent on being able to keep the current form factor.

Besides, I'm still trying to find a compelling reason to upgrade this year. I don't miss the Plus form factor one bit. Now, if the X Plus is narrower a little, I might reconsider. The width was one of my main gripes with the Plus iPhones.

Office no longer allows us to use our own device...

Hence I'm hoping to get the 5.8 version...
(although, if $$$ is coming from my own pocket, I'd still get the smaller one - it's just more convenient to use a smaller phone on holidays)

Thanks for the feedback! This is well thought of and I fully understood your take on the 'economics' of the iPhone X's price that will transpire pretty soon. If $800 is indeed the price of the upcoming 5.8inch one (assuming this is 64GB), I can see the current generation's iPhone X secondhand value would be around $650-$750. Hmm
