handbrake is excellent. but just to manage expectations - ripping a dvd is as painfully slow as ripping a cd.

hi guys. I just want to share what I did, it might help some of you. I built Handbrake from source last Dec 25, 2008 as there are some critical bugs in the 0.9.3 release, you can read about it here: http://blog.henyo.com/2009/01/converting-videos-using-handbrake-for.html
Yea, Handbrake is awesome, it can both rip DVD and convert videos on Mac. MacTheRipper is also deserved to try. Both of them are freewares.
I've been using handbrake for almost 2 years now and no complain so far. Works very well -especially for iphone and ipod touch movies.
try a google search on xilisoft+video+converter+mac. it converts audio tracks from video files to different formats
Mac the ripper is a nice free dvd ripper for mac, I downloaded it free from here, it works pretty well http://free-dvd-ripper.reviewstown.com
