There's a seller in our village that sells those tiny squid, just like in the Abe restaurants. It's smaller than the ones you see at the supermarkets. But, it's not available all the time. They sell on a Facebook group called Yummy home kitchen.
Chanced upon some in Farmers when we went there to buy food for Noche Buena. Baby squid in garlic and olive oil! Sooo yummy!
Mm...Iloilo style, perfect beer match: Instead of chili powder which does not taste great, I’d substitute it with dried red pepper flakes, same one as Yellow Cab Pizza uses as condiment for their pizza. Whenever I dine there, I’d ask for extra packets for home use. SM Hypermart sells them (big resealable plastic pack from Vietnam, kept in airtight container). Great for anything when you want some heat.
hello guys, do you know where "Eat Fresh" gets their balls? hahaha specifically their squid balls? grocery squid balls are not so good. I think I have tried them all but nothing comes close to Eat Fresh's squid balls.
At Hitop, i Quezon Avenue cor Edsa usually get Rose Brand (Thailand) of fishballs, squidballs. It is much better than local ones.
Anyone knows where to buy Old Bay Seasoning and Zatarains Crab Boil Spice Mix? Saw some online but I find it overpriced.
Hello fellow foodies! I'm looking for Morton's Kosher salt. I bought a box from Rustan's supermarket several years ago but I could not find it anymore. Do you guys know where to get them?
Ok so before I finally travel to Israel this year, I’d like to immerse myself in some good old hummus dishes. Since Kebab Bistro had closed in Sikatuna, I haven’t eaten hummus for four years already. Where’s the best hummus place now? Better yet, where can I find ingredients to make homemade hummus, i.e. tahini, chickpeas, etc?
Mm...been awhile since I ate hummus.....this one has been on my to-do list for a little while now , located in dining hotspot, Poblacion Makati. http://hummuselijah.com/ Pretty bold to put hummus as part of their restaurant name....their hummus must be quite good. Their shakshuka looks awesome. Tahini paste is available from them through Lazada if you want home-made hummus. Coriander seeds (ground with grinder) from shoppee. I’m hungry.
value for money Angus is "MY OWN MEAT SHOP" along Panay Avenue ( street behind National book store quezon avenue) for 21 day aged angus steaks i go to Primebeef company at end of Anonas street just before turning to xavierville ave. i find the price at Santis too expensive already
The main ingredients of hummus is chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon, olive oil (if I remember correctly). except for the tahini, all are available in the grocery. for tahini, you have to buy it at santis though
