    Is this available locally?

Since I don't have a US-based credit card I can't buy any stuff for my iPod through the iTunes Music Store.

Another way is to open a Paypal account (they already accept Phlippines-based credit cards) and purchase iTunes cards from eBay. You can easily get cards with at least a 10% discount. Just make sure the seller is willing to just send you the code via email if you win the auction.

Has anybody in this forum tried using iTunes Music Card locally to purchase songs? I read about expiration complaints of customers of Amazon.

it works, i bought many games and TV shows using the card I got from longbeard. it's okay for starters, cuz it controls you credit card spending.. and you get the same deal. it expires a year or so.. which I think won't last that long on any of us...

i don't think it expires.. i get a notification once in a while that i have an unused balance on my account, but it doesn't say that it will expire on some date..

I know I read on the back of the card that it expires upon a certain time period, about one year or so...it's been more than one year since I last loaded my account, and I still have my balance left.

You know, you can just ask any of your relatives to buy one for you. You can get an iTunes gift card in any grocery, supermarket, bookstore, maybe even your local convenience store.

It's like the old prepaid cards. Just ask your relative to get one for you, scratch off the code and email to you.

That is a very good suggestion. I have many US forum contacts that can buy for me. I'll just pay them through PayPal. How do I go about creating an iTunes account?

Mad Mac, when you redeem the gift card, it prompts you to create an account if you don't have one. Just set payment to "no credit card" and you're done. :)

I was able to purchase mine via this site http://www.ituneshop.net You will need an international credit card (not necessarily a US issued one as long as its valid abroad). They will email you your itunes GC code. You may want to read the instructions on their site on how to create an itunes account.

@jpmd88: Thanks for the heads-up. As of this post, the USD50 gift card is the cheapest one availble. So tempting... Grrr!

I just purchased the $50 gift card and I got the code in 5 minutes. I used to get mine from longbeard but now I don't have to go to a BPI bank to deposit the payment.
