    Hello,

    I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I'm looking for Sims 2 Mac version for my wife. We've looked around PowerMac (Greenbelt) and Datablitz (Glorietta and SM Southmall), but they don't have it on stock. All they have are the expansion packs.

    We have the Sims 2 PC version at home. But the thing is, we don't want to fork over 8K+ just to get a Windows XP license for Bootcamp given that we it's only P1500 - P2000 for the Sims 2 for Mac.

    It's a bummer that Amazon and Aspyr don't deliver to the Philippines.

    So you do any of you have an idea as to where to get a new and original Sims 2 for Mac?

    Thanks!

    Try Datablitz at Greenbelt 1. I think they still have some in stock. Better yet, go to the datablitz website and check their stores list so you can call them.

    Why not scrap your PC and transfer your WinXP license to bootcamp? The PC version is better bacause it gets first crack at the expansions and MAC games are priced a little bit higher that their PC counterparts. Then Install Linux on your PC if you don't want it to just collect dust.

    @theus:

    I remember reading those threads a while back, but can't seem to find them again. Thanks. I'll try modifying my search keywords.

    @lamski:

    Hmmm.... Greenbelt 1? Thanks! I'll do that. The only Datablitz I know in Makati is the one in Park Square (a small cramped outlet). Didn't know there was another one. I've been trying to check out the Datablitz site (www.datablitz.com.ph) for a couple of months now, but the site is always down.

    @wildcard:

    My original WinXP is OEM (and it's pre-SP1/SP2), hence I cannot transfer the license. Then, I've already "donated" the PC to someone. Incidentally, though that PC of mine had Windows XP on it, I was actually using Linux 99% of the time before we got the Mac since the WinXP got corrupted for the nth time. Which is also why I don't want to install Windows on our Mac just to run the app if there's a Mac equivalent. But thanks for the suggestion, though.
