I have a first generation unibody Mac book with a failed logic board, Beyond the Box quoted me for 20K for replacement. I searched eBay and lucked out as I was able to find a match for only 100 USD. Had it shipped here through Johnny Air, went to a service centre and asked them to replace the board for a fee. I spent around 7,500 php for the whole thing. The 17 inches could be more expensive though.

I Check out eBay for your model's logic boards and they are around 550 USD.

If you consider the hassle, shipping, and fees for installation, going the eBay route could be roughly the same as BTB's quoted price.
