In the past month, Apple released the following updates:

    Security Update 2010-001 ver. 1.0
    Bonjour Update 2010-001 ver. 1.0
Remote Desktop Client Update ver 1.4
Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update ver. 2.7

Of the above. only Security Update and Remote Desktop are available from the Apple's Support Downloads page for manual download. The rest aren't there, even if you search for them.

I've tried selecting the Go to Apple Downloads Page... option from the Software Update menu, and it leads nowhere for the above-mentioned updates (specific file cannot be found).

Google is no help either, and the usual online repositories like MacUpdate and VersionTracker go as far as to indicate "available only via Software Update".

On a new computer, I went on to update all of the above via Software Update, in the hopes that I would find the files under the HD > Library > Updates folder (which is where updaters are usually stored), but they weren't there either.

What gives? Is Apple now disallowing us from keeping these updaters? If so, why?

I need these updaters on my external since I will perform these updates on dozens of Macs. I don't want to run SU each time, and sometimes, I update offline too.

Does anyone know what's going on and where I can find these files?

    TIA.

Ok, scratch the part about the Library/Updates folder. I was able to find the updates in my wife's iMac.

Still wondering why not all SW updates are listed in Apple's Support Downloads page for manual download.

just curious sir, where are these updates stored? after the system has completed the update process, are these files deleted automatically or they're stored and eat up your storage? i'm not quite familiar with macs obviously, i hope you could enlighten me. thank you. :)
