The right kind of music can pump you up and help you through your workout. What songs/artists do you listen to when you're in the gym doing cardio workout (i.e. running)? Earlier I listened to: Armin van Buuren - A State of Trance DJ Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise Prodigy - Poison (a lot of Prodigy in my playlist) Chicane - Andromeda Linkin Park - Shadow of the Day / What I've Done What songs/artists do you have on your workout playlist?
try this: http://www.philmug.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=23420&highlight=running+songs maybe the mods can just merge these 2. i have a running playlist on my ipod, here's a few from the top of my head: hump de bump - red hot chili peppers (a lot of their songs are good for running) beautiful day -U2 (the best!) virtual insanity - jamiroquai (good for starting/ending runs) temptation - new order must be dreaming - frou frou (good stuff) move along - all american rejects memory - sugarcult fired up - funky green dogs andromeda - chicane (i see you have this too) try searching songs from the nike run albums, it's in itunes.
That's great, Trackshields! Thank you for this link!... it seems only a few have shared their playlist in that thread, time to update!... will try to listen to your list, hopefully it'll help me shed more pounds in time for summer! hahaha! Thanks again to TrackShields and omegalove.

mostly rock/alternative songs when I'm on the treadmill. right now it's the Foo Fighters' album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
for workout music I recommend european dance music.... it's ALWAYS the best motivational tool for me... .....and you don't have to tell anyone at the office if u just listen to it on the mp3 player at the gym.... .... here's a compilation series on itunes that I recommend: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/...cedSearchResults?albumTerm=Euro+Club+Hits+Vol
best of white/rob zombie rage against the machine zz top led zepellin that ought to get you pumping iron in a second
This is the kind of thread I always end up discovering new music from.... it's the best thing about the "long tail" and music.... before u had to read in a magazine or hunt around in a record store to find something cool -- which made the choices always subject to the "gatekeeping" of editors and music store buyers and etc... -- which would lead inevitably to mediocrity and the prevalence of "poser music" -- i.e. stuff that you want to like because you think it's cool, not because you really like it. Music journalism especially creates high-profiles for really lame stuff, because journalists are always looking behind their backs, trying to profile something that they think in 2 years people will think they were cool for liking "way back when".... I GREATLY prefer the democratic nature of threads like these, where people simply list their tastes and you can just look something up on itunes or youtube and check it out for yourself.... MY PLAYLIST TODAY..... David Guetta "Love Is Gone" Thomas Falke "Revolution On The Dance Floor" Groove Cutter "My Shooter" Control One "Just A Little Bit" Ian Carey "Redlight" Kevin Weg "Dead Radio" Menace & Adam "Missile Test" I don't usually go for techno but these are sort of like a wierd crossover between rock and techno/trance. Most of these I found at this itunes page -- http://www.electricfilebox.com/tracks
I normally don't have time for exercise but I walk to and from work every single day (around 10 blocks away). I'm just fascinated with Madonna's Hard Candy album. It makes me enjoy my walk all the more.
When I'm bringing Shuffle to gym, of course my playlist would be everything in my Shuffle, which are my top 240 most played songs in my iTunes. When I'm bringing Nano, I play by the Album, whatever my trip maybe, as long as the songs are loud, which will make me forget that I'm running in a treadmill.
I like this album, also playing this when I'm on the treadmill... The first few songs will just make you run in the treadmill.. Erase!!!! Replace!!!!
