I prefer MS office since it is pretty much compatible with pc stuff. But it is kind of expensive though so i suggest you get neoffice or openoffice if you're finding a free alternative. I also heard that iwork is pretty good! Will try it soon :)

I've got iWork 09, MS Office 04, and NeoOffice, all installed in my macbook. iWork gets used most of the time. Keynote is the BOMB! MS Office gets used only when someone sends me an excel file with lots of gymnastics like pivot tables. NeoOffice gets used to open my old WordPerfect files.

iWork for home iMac & MS Office 2007 on office laptop. I sometimes use Open Office on the iMac when someone sends MS Office files.

I didn't bother installing any office app on my daily machine. I just work on Google Docs. It is quite convenient since I switch between machines.

MS Office for Mac. It's a hassle to switch with different operating systems just to open MS Office for Windows. And also, compatibility is an issue to me, so i can't use iWork 09 no matter how much i wanted to try it. :(
