uhm, are you serious?. We're here to help, but dude, you should exert at least a little effort before posting here. The Internet is a wonderful place for finding answers, don't limit yourself to PhilMUG.

Anyway, here's the answer: iMovie is for creating movies. iDVD is for creating DVDs (which are may contain your iMovie).

    Thanks

Actually, Jason, you should use your macbook and experiment with the programs you have. Doing that, you'll find out the diff between the two programs you mentioned.

The best way of finding things out is to do it 'old school'. .;)

oh, by the way, 1st mac related thread, ey? hehe

youll have a hard time dealing with your phone video files... hehe

do u have a macbook? you can try shooting with your isight cam,.,, did a short video sa beach and edited it on the spot in imovie hehe ... it was surprisingly funny and good enough for web streaming hehe

after doing a video in imovie.. you can transfer the file to idvd.. you can create layouts there of your dvd menu... burn it as a dvd=)

and yeah... a little search/googling would help a lot =)

AFAIK, ffmpegX can convert 3GP to a format that iMovie will be able to import (like QuickTime MP4).
