    Good question!

I'd like to ask the same thing, but for a Laser Printer/Scanner/Copier.

I own Canon M145. The material is tough but I am disappointed to every canon printer always. It is too noisy when printing..

Try the Samsung all-in-one printer. Am using the laser printer Samsung ML-2240. It's fast and can print more compared to others.

Our office bought three Brother 4-in-1 printers a few months ago, not happy with it. We thought we could save some space but these 4-in-1 printers are huge! It takes up almost the same space as a regular thermal fax machine plus a 3-in-1 HP Printer.

Other negatives about the Brother 4-in-1's:

    - Hassle to change from Letter size to Legal size - you have to pull out the tray first, open it and change papers

    - very fast ink depletion

    - changing fax mode from manual to auto is not simple and quite a hassle

    - one of the three units never recovered from a paper jam - we opened up the machine and we couldn't see any bits of paper but it still says 'paper jam'

Lessons learned: buy a thermal fax separate from your printer, 2 of our faxes must be 15 yrs old and still working fine, 4-in-1's doesn't really save you much space and are a hassle to use.

    * I would like to give away our 3 Brother printers to those interested but we are in the province.

    Epson CX3900 for me.

I don't like to refill ink cartridges (poor quality) so I got it coz' the original ink cartridges were the most affordable for my requirements.

My office has been using the Brother MFC 7820N Network Monochrome Laser Printer - Copier - Scanner. Very reliable workhorse. Has wireless network scanning / copying / faxing capability. Works well within a Mac - Windows network.

My epson cx3200 is 3yrs old now and its scanner is still working fine. its printer is now unuseable since I used refill inks. I thought i could save using refills...:(

lesson: buy originals, even it is more expensive.
