Funny how this discussion did not age well in this Pandemic.

yup, same as what I do. But if you are eager not to remove the face mask, alternative is on the way

How many of you have turned off Face ID, because it’s now annoying to use with a mask, and it takes forever to go to the option of entering your passcode :ROFLMAO:

I haven’t used any of the IDs for a long time now. You’re right; it’s annoying. Unless you keep very sensitive docs and pics in your iPhone, I don’t see the need for an ID. If it gets lost, so be it, me wipe clean option naman.

I find myself missing touch ID when I'm out with a mask on. The iOS 13.5 update helped a bit though, at least now the phone is quicker to go to the pin input screen after the face ID fails.

Yeah same here, forgot which thread I posted it. Sana they came out with Touch ID as back up in case Face ID fails (because of wearing a mask), instead of the passcode option.

I've since made my passcode 4-digits instead of 6. since the only times I go out are during supply runs, where I leave my iPhone in the car anyway, passcode isn't much of a bother. next week will be different though when I go back to work. i've set-up Messenger, Viber & WhatsApp on my laptop so that should help 'limit' my iPhone screentime, hopefully :)

I shifted to 4 digit passcode now.
Yes, the latest update helped, but it would have been a bliss to have both touch and face id in our iPhones.
Maybe the new normal will prompt apple to produce phones with both.

I'll try to shift to 4-digit passcode.

I'm also waiting for the release of iPhone SE 2020 (I don't know why it's taking so long to release here in Manila).
I use my phone a lot when i'm outside for work so Touch ID would be really great.
