Any idea how much it comes out to? I mean the monthly payments, then the balloon payments? Like sample calculations?
Somewhat related... my mom won the 2nd highest raffle prize of Power Plant Mall when they were raffling off a Segway in the mid 00's. She was so keen on getting one that she befriended the Power Plant management and asked if the winner was selling it. The winner was indeed selling it but its condition and price were not congruent to each other. Having a unique family name will make you stick out
I'm finding out most people here buy used for practical reasons. I don't know a lot that buy brand new. I didn't want to think about repairs and other potential maintenance issues so I'd rather have brand new. Leasing seems like a good option: use a brand new car for 3-4 years, swap it with another brand new car after that. Versus buying a new car, sell it after 4 years and buy another one after. Comes out as more expensive in the long run. But, hey, if it frees up some time and mental space for me it would be worth it.
yup. it's really more of a state of mind.. there are those who prefer the idea of 'owning' things rather than 'borrowing'. but if you look at it closer, there's really not much difference. in the end, you're still using a casa-maintained brand new vehicle.

Just got this company car upgrade, the 2022 Mercedes Benz E200 AMG line. I’m now thinking of selling my BMW and get an SUV instead, most likely a Ford Everest, as I won’t need two luxury sedans. Disclaimer: I don’t work for Pharmally. Hehe.

I agree. Our car taxes are low compared to our neighbors. However, instead of increasing the taxes of new cars (we will just save up for it anyway) Gov't should consider increasing the LTO registration fees of cars, especially the older ones. *** Report: Incoming NEDA head says cars should be taxed more to address PH transport issues | TopGear PH
