Mm..doc, don't buy unless the pre-owned Prado was originally sold by Toyota Philippines dealer. Never a good idea to buy from those imported through Port Irene in Cagayan or Subic. Yeah, avoid conversion like the plague for safety reasons.
^Can never trust cars that were offloaded in Port Irene. Most have issues, including the luxury models. Some have replacement engines and some are still RHDs. True, they’re less expensive (or dirt cheap, if you admit it to be) but you wouldn’t want to go through the whole process of “I told you so” later on. OTOH, those cars sold through Tsikot.com or other online reseller forums are to be scrutinized properly like an STD medical certificate.
Mm...just inspected the display unit..peigeon...pigot.....pugot....never mind....their new 5008: Nice suv....both in and out...chockful of tech from front and back sensors, camera, apple play, google auto, auto lift for the cargo door etc. Looks complete to me wala ng idadagdag pa after market b.s.....1.6 liter gasoline turbo with 11 km per liter fuel economy. guapong kotse all around. Feels very solid. Stylish interiors.
I agree on this my first bnew car was Hyundai Eon 5 years n head ache. Minor aircon condenser has a leak on the 5th year (55k odo) innova 2014 up to now no issues PMS every 5k recently added a 2019 CRV. Love driving it parang sedan lang dala mo.

Okay my unpopular choice: base RAV4 LE, even though the (local) Internet says it is overpriced and lacking "features"
The peugeot 5008 is indeed stunning. Still waiting for the 2020 Subaru Outback to be launched next year. Either that or a Mazda CX-5 TOTL or CX-9 or the now affordable 5008... hmm.. Budget is Php2-3M only. Currently drive a Subaru XV.
Just got this one in Attitude Black Mica. The ”Dynamic Force” engine is what sets this apart from the others: https://www.motorreviewer.com/engine.php?engine_id=127 “In the result, the new 2.5-liter power plant is the most technologically advanced engine ever produced by Toyota. The maximum thermal efficiency achieved the line of 40% - one of the world's best results for a conventional engine.”
Owners of Mitsubishi Monteros are again warned of the effect of S.U.A. or Sudden Unintended Apak. The CCTV footage of that Montero suddenly accelerating backwards to a couple of persons in Quiapo resulting in 1 dead and 6 injured is trending now, and it’s a vicious and heartrending clip. Kawawa ung babaeng namatay, naghahanap buhay lang dedo na. Hinde man lang niya nakita ung Montero kasi nakatalikod siya.
any body had experience buying a new car only to find out that Chrome parts were affected by the Taal ash fall? Dealer said they plan to replace it before the first 5000KM check up. Planning to cover them up with body wraps with black as it looks untidy with the spotting and all.
My XP is a victim of that. I talked to the dealer and they mentioned that they can consider insurance claim for that.
insurance? or warranty claim? I wish its insurance so I can the money and buy the parts now vs waiting for months.
