After the painful free fall of my Albook, I immediately grabbed a 12" powerbook ALLEY tote by STM. It has just the right amount of padding to keep our precious babies protected and still not make us look like the perennial out-of-towners. And to be doubly O.C. about it, it got an STM glove too. Hopefully this cocktail does the trick. As for the perfect iPod case, now that's the ultimate challenge. Recent finds anyone?

My AlBook is protected by a Radtech PowerSleeve, then placed inside a zeroshock sleeve, then placed inside a well-padded laptop bag, an AGVA at the moment.

    My case

    It's a Samsonite
It fits a 15" Tibook exactly
It has velcro circles that prevents your portable from falling off your document case. As it has velcro you can remove it when you really want it too.
It doesn't look like a laptop bag so thieves & security guards would probably overlook it.
It has a cable bag that houses all your cable needs (VGA/TV cable, Line out to RCA, etc)
It has enough space for docs, pens & DVDs.
It's well padded so a tumble from a desk to the floor wouldn't be too much for it to handle.
Downside is that it can't accomodate the power adapter as it is too big.

Did I mention it was made out of leather?

    marware sleeve for 17 powerbook

i use the marware sportfolio extrme for my powerbook.

I like it becasue it's really thin and stremlined. I can carry it around easily despite the fact that my powerbook is pretty big. And I can easliy slide it in my NorthFace Firewall backpack as well. :)

i use a timbuk 2 commuter bag for my 15 inch tibook. It's got a seperate padded pocket inside that the laptop fits into and is secured by a velcro tab so even if the bag is open the tibook is secure inside.

i'd rather use something that doesn't look like a laptop case, and it's big enough to hold all the extras i need when i work out of the studio.

I'm using a Hedgren Extreme backpack at the moment and a Radtech Powersleev. I'm looking to get an STM Alley as well for those days that I don't need the storage of the Hedgren.

My iBook is housed in a Radtech Powersleevz then placed inside a cute AGVA bag.

InCase Slingpack here... compact yet enough room for my 12" iBook, iPod, Tungsten|T and some office paperwork.

For days where I need to bring along more stuff, I use a locally-made Bobcat sleeve (real cheap at around 750Php) stuffed inside an Adidas Messenger bag.

I've never really been the computer bag type, always preferring a good sleeve over any bag. Hence, I place my Albook in a Radtech Powersleevz, inside a zeroshock case.

When I just have to use a bag (going abroad, etc) I use a Marware Sportfolio.

I currently have the Hedgren Extreme Profile Backpack (Small) in black and tomato (yes, i think they call it tomato instead of red) and my 3 week old STM Baby Brink in charcoal and red.

I tend to switch bags depending on how much stuff i have to bring with me. Right now, i'm using the STM bag more often coz somehow it feels lighter. Maybe it's because i can't put in as much stuff in there as i can with the Hedgren or that i'm not really much of a backpack kinda gal to begin with. ;)

Of course most of us have the Radtech Powersleevz, and me an STM Large Loop I posted in Recent Mac Purchase thread.

Other bags I have depending on the day - a Samsonite backpack, a Delsey carrybag and the "golfbag" as Adel puts it the M-Audio backpack where I can fit all my music gear if there's a project I have to work on.

I use the same bag. P1,500 lang, at Electroworld. Mine has the brown and beige stripes. It's a Crumpler OEM, so it's a steal.

I also have the InCase laptop sleeve for weekends and light days.

I also use the Agva messenger bag, the one in grey and black (thanks to the kindness of mgd). The moment roosterbooster80 gets back I should have my Powersleeve.

The bag is a huge step from my wrap-iBook-in-sarong-stick-in-bag days! I like the Agva - it has just enough space for my other stuff and is adequately padded. I'm looking at getting a Crumpler WeeBee in the future. For the reason that it comes in orange. :60s:

    Dreaming of an Axio Hardpack

Currently using a very old Old Navy messenger bag along w/ a Radtech PowerSleevz to protect my Precious. Can't wait to get my paws on the Axio Hardpack, though.

I have several I use for different occasions for my TiBook - a thick black leather Fino portfolio, an inCase bag, several assorted "disguise" bags, but my all-purpose, all-weather workhorse knapsack is a matte black Boblbe-e Megalopolis backpack, with a Datacom Internal Organizer and CargoNet accessories.
