Hi Everyone, I've been tasked to do my cousin's wedding invitations. What Mac program(s)/ application(s) can be used in making those kinds of documents? If you could also suggest where I could get graphics, I would very much appreciate it. Please help.
A combination of Photoshop and InDesign will be enough. As for the graphics, there are some websites that offer free use of their graphics/stock photos. Or if you are artistic enough, you can create original graphics like those classic swirls in Illustrator. Some dingbats characters can also be used as decorations.
for starters, you can try Pages' templates and built-in graphics. if you need more control and advanced layout, i suggest you try Photoshop and Indesign. good luck!
Hi Tinsey, Depending on what you are comfortable with, any of the previously suggested apps (Photoshop=photo/image manipulation; InDesign=layout, importing graphics. May I add one more voice to Illustrator, too, for graphics from scratch or simply manipulating resident dingbats and other fonts) should do. However, it'll also depend on your deadline vis-a-vis the time you need to learn these apps. Download these from the Adobe site for fully-functional trial versions. OR try GIMP, a free app that works like Photoshop. However, this might take getting used to. Navigate through http://www.gimp.org/about/ just to find out what options you can have. Good luck!
Thanks guys! Appreciate your help. I will give each one a try to find out which one i'll be more comfortable using. I'm quite new to them kasi. Before, when I was still using PC I use Printmaster (but that was long ago)...
You can try Swift Publisher which is similar to prorgams like Print Artist and Print Shop. Very easy to use and they offer free trial. Just download it hereSwift Publisher
