For some reason, I can not open my monthly statement using Citibank's website. It always tells me that I need Acrobat Reader installed to view it.

But I already have it. I even downloaded the latest reader but to no avail, it's still not working.

    Anyone knows a workaround?

    Thank you for the help.

    Have you tried other browsers?

    Please try this:

    (1) Open Adobe Reader.
    (2) Go to preferences dialog by clicking the menu Adobe Reader > Preferences...
    (3) In the left pane under Categories, select Internet.
    (4) In the right pane under Web Browser Options, make sure 'Display PDF in browser using: ' is checked.
    (5) Save your settings and try again.

I hope it works. It worked for me.

    Try trashing the following files:

    com.adobe.acrobat.pdfviewer.plist
    com.adobe.AdobePDFSettings.plist

    Then repair permissions.

Citibank statement downloading doesn't work on Mac no matter what I do. I just use my VMWare XP to download it. Once I do get it there, I can view it using Preview (with Adobe Reader installed)

The reason it doesn't work is there seems to be no Reader browser plugin for Mac. Try to sign up for emailed statements so you can get pdfs of your statements delivered to you automatically.

I noticed this problem after their upgrade last week. Must be something wrong with their new system.

I echo coffeelover's statement. I used to be able to view Citibank statements on my Mac (Firefox browser) without any problems. Just checked today and am having problems now.

I think it's a compatibility issue with snow leopard. I was able to view my statements using firefox or safari when I was still on leopard. I just installed the acrobat plug-in then.

Have you tried setting your browser to save the PDF instead of having the plug-in open the PDF inside the browser?

That option does not even come out, it just says I don't have acrobat installed and refuses to show my statement.
