just delete all the fonts you installed.

in my case i use a font browser to turn my fonts on and off.

That's the problem when using Fontbook. I encoutered the same mistake back then and did almost everything to restore the fonts but ended up reinstalling my OS. Fontbook manages system fonts and fonts used by certain system based apps that's why i never used it again.

This is weird, I cant find the fonts that i installed in font book. It's only showing the fonts before i installed the other fonts.

I repaired permissions using Disk Utility and Onyx.

Can an Archive and Install fix this or do I have to erase and install my HD?

That's what im telling you. Fontbooks structure is really weird. Same thing happened to me, reinstalled my system, now its working fine. Archive and install will do.

Do not use fontbook. Use Extensis Suitcase X1 to manage your fonts. You can set it On and Off.

    Thanks.
