Went to Makati this am around 11am and back to QC around 1pm as the rains started pouring again. Edsa was passable all throughout on the way to Makati. On the way back to QC from Makati though, water was building up in Ayala ave, Buendia just before going up the buendia-> edsa bridge. Some small puddles along katipunan white plains, no flood along katipunan ateneo all the way to tandang sora. Capitol Drive has 3 Catch Basin points and were filling up when i passed.

Now 3 hrs later im sure those roads are not passable anymore

It is red warning level again. A lot of local governments, including QC, declared the suspension of classes till Friday already. Man this is really freak weather: no storm and yet with heavy rainfall; talk about climate change.

See that thick band of clouds left of Luzon? That will move across central Luzon in the next 24hrs. Metro Manila is on the lower fringes so we will still get intermittent rain. It is not over.

If the storm in China dissolves that cloud will move slower dumping rain for a longer time.

    incoming!

not a direct hit, but we all know how bad indirect hits can be like the recent monsoon rains brought about by a storm in china.

^actually, it did spare us. those typhoons used to hit us directly.

i followed sanba/karen quietly and it swerved up our eastern coastline, from leyte to china--not its usual path.

a cat 5 typhoon would've wreaked more havoc cutting across our towns.

so be thankful that you're only feeling its *side effect*. ;)
