I hear that Marikina River has breached Ondoy levels. Praying for everyone living along the river banks and other low-lying areas.

Yes it did. We live in Marikina but the only time we've seen our street flooded was during Ondoy and this morning. After Ondoy, we had 2 floors added to our house but my folks are still nervous as this typhoon reminds them of the "exodus" they had to do back then.

I read a report from Marikina that the rains was increasing the river water level 1 meter shy of Ondoy.

Really wish we could funnel 80% of the water before it hits land for potable use and 80% wind from these typhoons and use them to generate 24/7 power.

 

I think you meant Marikina river. Though having a marijuana river would be super for some

 

I would really, really love to swim in that river.

 

DPWH should start increasing the river banks wall so that it would not overflow.

 

Mm...marikina is catch basin. Tough to watch.
