VLC subtitles

    hi guys, i recently dloaded a japanese show, but had a problem playing it in vlc. I couldn't see the subtitles. there is a filename with a .sub extension that came along with the .divx file but the sub just wont pop up. Any help please? thanks!

    Open up the application preference, click the advanced settings box.
    Under subpictures, browse the your HD for the .sub file that came with the .divx.
    Save and enjoy! I hope this helps.

    You can also click on Video from the toolbar and enable Subtitle Track.

    I cant seem to find the subpictures option. Am i in the right page?
