Using a smart iphone 5s unit with a globe sim

    Hello. Obviously the subject gave it away. I need your help. I have an iPhone 5s from smart given by my aunt. Unfortunately, I'm a longtime globe subscriber and I'd like to ask here if this smart iphone 5s unit can be network unlocked to allow use of my globe sim. Whoever has an experience doing the unlocking thing kindly send me a pm or help me. Thanks and merry Christmas

    i believe that's impossible since the unit is telco subsidized it's network locked.

    This has been answered so many times already. :) iPhones from smart and globe cannot be unlocked totally. There's no way that you can unlock its IMEI for you to use it with other network.

    The only way you can use it with Globe sim is by using a Xsim or any sim-based solutions. I forgot the names. You can search for it. Hope this helps.

    Just swap it with a globe compatible iphone of the same model
