please help me. how long is the initial charge of ipad 2. thanks! MODS please move this after i get an answer. thanks for bearing with me.
You don't need to charge the iPad 2 out of the box. In fact, Apple does not mention anything about it either in the supplied documentation or on its website. For more details on the iPad 2's battery, visit this link.
my ipad 2 is empty already this is my first charge just charge it until full or there is a certain numer of hours.
just charge it until it is 100% and the icon beside the battery percent shows a plug instead of a thunderbolt..
Just got he iPad 2 earlier and I am now using the factory charge before charging it. Seems like there really is no specific number of hours for the initial charging. Just charge it until it's full. Batteries nowadays no longer have the "memory" issues present in the older models.
Same experience with mine. Since the unit already has a charge when i bought it (almost 90%), I think I had almost a day to play around with it before reaching low batt status (below 10%) when i finally charged itfor the first time. I just waited until it reached full charge before unplugging it. No issues whatsoever. Just remember if you're not using the power adapter that came with your ipad, the charge time might take much longer because the output of the ipad charger is larger than say your iphone charger (but i could be mistaken so please feel free to correct me if it's incorrect).
No need to panic. There's nothing urgent about charging your pad. Like any device within the last 5 years you just plug it until its 100%. Just like all your other apple devices.
You got it right. Further, charging via USB port doesn't work unless you refrain from using the iPad. Takes really long, too.
